Dressage
SSO Dressage is a bit like a Quadrille in relation to real life dressage. A series of moves are choreographed and executed by a team of riders. The terms used for moves in SSO Dressage are different to those in real life dressage which can be confusing at first. you can find a list of moves and their names here at the Star Stable Dressage Dictionary. Diamond Hearts Dressage team is open to our club members who are Star Riders. You will also need Discord if you wish to be part of the Dressage Team as it is much easier to cue the moves and have everyone in time. If you dont have Discord you can participate but you will not be able to be part of any competitions or videos in future.
You will be asked to get the Club Dressage Uniform and our Club Dressage Horse, which is the Generation 3 Andalusian Horse. You do not need these straight away on the first day, but as long as you are making progress towards getting the full uniform and horse that is all we ask.
Our club will be using a ranking system to keep track of our riders and their abilities.
Beginners and all members will have the role of Member on SSO.
Beginner to Intermediate Riders will have their role changed to Trainee on SSO.
Intermediate to Advanced Riders will have their role changed to Experienced Rider on SSO.
Elite Advanced riders will have their role changed to Champion on SSO.
Keep an eye on the club calendar to know when your training session will be held.

Liberty
Diamond Hearts United Liberty Team is open to ALL riders, not just star riders.
You do not need any uniforms as you will be in wild mode. At this point in time we do not have a club liberty horse but in the future we may use the Marwari. For now, you can bring any horse you like, one with a special move usually works best, eg, Lusitano, Andalusian, Marwari.
You do not need Discord to participate in this team as all riders use the sso chat cues to know what moves they are to perform. For a brief introduction you can view this video from Moon Champions - Liberty Basics.

Western Drill
SSO Western Drill is similar to Western drill in real life. While it may look similar to SSO Dressage it is usually performed at a faster pace. Western Drill team members will need to get the Western Drill uniform and have a Generation 3 American Quarter Horse.
We operate under Starshine Drill Guidelines and hope to some day be at a level where we can compete in their competitions.
